The faculty grew out of the faculty of Science in 2011. At present, it has 18 members of academic staff including 2 professors, 2 associate professors, 13 assistant professors and 1 instructor. The faculty has three different research centers including Laser and Optics, Solid State Physics and Plasma Physics, specialized libraries, fully-equipped laboratories and dedicated computer sites for postgraduate students.
